Justin + Stacey | Wedding Day

I showed up at Justin’s parents estate and I was in LOVE! I immediately started looking around the grounds to find some great locations for photos. Their ceremony started at night, and I knew the lighting would be perfect…you know that warm yellowy golden sun! Love it!

Stacey was so calm, until the minute she heard it was time to go outside for the ceremony! She looked so nervous…it must have been contagious because I got so nervous for her! Right before all of her bridesmaids went outdoors, she handed them all a gift, and there were a lot of tears involved! Right then, Stacey says “I don’t know if I’ve ever cried from being happy!” And I almost lost it! Haha, I had to get out of there, I was a wreck! LOL went outside to set up for the big moment.

Justin was as cool as a cucumber…the ceremony was held in the backyard of his parents estate, overlooking a pond. They were wed on a dock protruding out into the water. It was peaceful, it was serene, it was so relaxed. My favorite part is when I looked over and noticed their pup Dolce laying in the isle watching! Heart. Melted. Period!

Afterwards, we took some bridal party photos, before we lost all of the light…and just like that, the sun had set, and they were dancing under paper lanterns on a bed of grass. So romantic!

Oh..and a quick shout out! Stacey and Justin found out soon after they were married that they are expecting! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to meet the little one!

This photo just says “Breathe” to me 😉

LOVE that their dog was sitting in the isle watching 🙂 Too adorable!

The Boys…

I encourage silliness! Love it actually! Who wants boring wedding photos? LOL

You can see the sun just setting in the background! These were some of the last photos I took of them before we lost the sun completely.

Love this shot 😉

Stacey…you are gorgeous! Period!

Thank you guys SO much for letting me be a part of your special day! I’ve enjoyed getting to know you guys during your engagement shoot, and your wedding! Can’t wait until March for the little one!
Congrats again!

Below, I’ve asked Stacey and Justin to fill out a questionnaire, here are their answers:

Bride (bartender at The Whittemore Inn.)

Groom (assistant manager at Dore’s Mobil Station.)

How’d you meet: Through a mutual friend of ours while we were out at Castaway’s in Bay City.

How long were you engaged: About a year and a half.

Reception Site: Swanson Estate, Twining, MI

Gown: New Moon East from DHGate.com

Wedding Rings: Stacey – Zales; Justin – Tungstun.com

Formalwear (guys): Men’s Warehouse, Saginaw

Bridesmaids Dresses: NewMoonEast from DHGate.com

Flowers: I actually used silk flowers from the local Dollar Daze, my bridesmaids and I put them all together, and they arranged them on the wedding day! ♥

Cake: I was so shocked to find that my local Walmart Bakery offered wedding cakes, and we got a GREAT deal on ours!

Catering: Justin’s mom, Cora, jumped on the idea of making finger foods instead of a seated meal, so she got together with his Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and a few other helpers! It was a great menu and an awesome setup!

Music: Sheryl of Entertainment Tonight DJ Services

Invitations: Vistaprint.com

Favorite Part of the Day: (Stacey) I really liked that we did a receiving line after the ceremony. It gave me a chance to see everyone who made it to the ceremony but couldn’t stay for the reception. But my most memorable moment was when Justin and I looked at each other right before saying our vows to each other; we both smiled and cried at the same time =)

Favorite Part of the Day (Justin) When Stacey and I drove up to the reception tent on our friend Aaron’s bike. It was not planned at all, and was a nice surprise for the guests.

First dance song: Smile by Uncle Kracker

Father/daughter song: My Wish by Rascall Flatts (I bawled my eyes out! lol)

Where did you go on your honeymoon: We haven’t taken one yet, but we want to take a cruise to the bahamas!

Advice for anyone wedding planning: Set a budget and stick to it! Also, don’t waste money on the little things that people won’t remember, but don’t skimp too much, just do what YOU like.
